Data Deletion Instructions
You can remove a connected social account from Postigent, or delete all of your Postigent data, at any time.
Disconnect a single channel
- Sign in to Postigent.
- In the channel list on the calendar page, open the channel's menu (⋯ / preferences).
- Choose Delete. Postigent immediately stops using and publishing to that channel.
To make sure the platform's access token can never be used again, also remove Postigent's access in the platform's settings (below). To have the channel's stored data erased from our systems, use one of the options under "Delete your account and all data" below.
Remove Postigent's access from the platform
You can also revoke Postigent's access directly in the platform's own settings. For example:
- Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations (or Apps and websites) → select Postigent → Remove.
- Instagram: Settings → Website permissions / Apps and websites → select Postigent → Remove.
- Google / YouTube: myaccount.google.com/permissions → Postigent → Remove access.
- LinkedIn, X, TikTok and others: look for "Connected apps", "Permitted services" or "Apps and sessions" in the platform's settings.
Delete your account and all data
Option 1: Delete it yourself in Postigent (immediate)
- Sign in to Postigent.
- Open Settings and choose Global Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Delete Account, then confirm.
This deletes your organizations, connected channels and posts, removes your team members from organizations you own, and permanently anonymizes your personal details. It cannot be undone.
Option 2: Ask us to delete it for you
Send an email to info@postigent.com with the subject "Postigent data deletion request", from the email address registered on your Postigent account. Include the name of your workspace if you have more than one.
We will confirm your request and permanently delete your account, your content, your connected channels and their access tokens, and all associated data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep certain records. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis. We will email you when the deletion is complete.
If you received data from Postigent through a Facebook or Instagram login and want to know the status of a deletion request, reply to our confirmation email or contact us at the address above.
See our Privacy Policy for more about how we handle your data.
